Dr. Marina Sonkin

Biography

Dr. Marina Sonkin graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Physiology and a Master of Science degree. She graduated from the University of Toronto Doctor of Dental Surgery program with honours.

 

Marina received multiple awards from the University of Toronto, including ones for excellence in preventive dentistry and best overall achievement. She was invited into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honour dental society.

 

Dr. Sonkin traveled to Kathmandu, Nepal in 2012 to volunteer in a dental hospital. In 2009, she traveled to Accra, Ghana on a medical mission.

 

Dr. Sonkin is an active member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), Ontario Dental Association (ODA), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).

 

Dr. Sonkin attended the 32nd AACD Scientific Conference in 2016 in Toronto and traveled to the 33rd AACD Scientific Conference in 2017 in Las Vegas. She attended the 149th and 150th ODA Annual Spring Meetings.

 

In her spare time, Marina enjoys spending time with her family, painting, photography, traveling, and achieving her fitness goals.
