Overcrowding
This occurs when there's simply a lack of room within your jaw for all of your teeth to fit normally. Left untreated, overly crowded teeth can cause dental decay, increase the chance of gum disease, and prevent teeth from functioning normally.
Spacing & gaps
This occurs with abnormal continued growth of the jaw bone, or when teeth shift due to extra space from missing teeth. Spacing issues can lead to some periodontal (gum) diseases.
Crossbite
This occurs when the upper and lower jaws are both misaligned, causing one or more upper teeth to bite on the inside of the lower teeth. It can cause wear of the teeth, gum disease, and bone loss.
Overbite (overjet)
What people commonly call an "overbite" is known to dental professionals as "overjet" — when the upper teeth bite over the lower teeth. It can lead to gum irritation, wear on the lower teeth, and painful jaw and joint problems.
Removable & discreet
Because the aligners are removable, you eat, brush and floss exactly as you normally would — and most people won't even notice you're wearing them.
Fewer visits
Invisalign typically means fewer, shorter visits than traditional braces — and Dr. Erwin maps out your new smile from the very first appointment.
